Virgie Guerrant Daniel, 89, a resident of 8075 Johnnie Daniel Road, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at her home.

A native of Vance County, the daughter of the late Willie and Mary Newton Guerrant.  She was a member of Mt. Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Mt. Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Jack Edge and Rev. Lemar Wheeler.  Burial will be in church cemetery.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda D. Overton and her husband Roy, a son, John “Alton” Daniel and his wife Deborah, both of Oxford, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Mary G. Wilson, Ada G. Wilson, Clay G. Owens, Jennie Mae G. Marshall, 3 brothers, Hammitt Guerrant, Frank Guerrant and Al Guerrant.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM, Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at the home.
