Dad,

I miss you all the time and wish you were still with us. This past year was a difficult one with your sister, Carmen, and your brother, Jimmy, joining you in heaven. I am sure you were there to welcome them. I love you so very much as I carry you with me in my heart each day.
Your son,
-Doug

It has been three years since my father has passed and since that time I have also lost my brother, Glen. There is little to be said about the feeling of loss as it is persistent in is presences. I miss them both so very much and on this day I remember my father and what a good soul he was. How he would do anything to help another. I miss my Dad.

Doug and Glen, We are sorry about the loss of your Dad..What a great Brother Butch was...I remember Butch coming to visit my (Mom), his Aunt Sybil, and my Dad on the farm in Toledo..Butch dressed in his Navy uniform.. We weren't around one another much, but the times we did have together were wonderful... He will be etched in my Heart forever. Love You Brother, Duane & Sandy....

Doug and Glen, as you know my brother Ray ( known to the family as Butch) was one of the sweetest, kindest people I could have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We talked on the phone a lot and he could always bring a smile to my face. We had a lot of fun traveling together to visit our sister Sybil's family in Florida. I have some wonderful memories of our visits together. What a guy! I miss our great phone calls and times together. He was a wonderful as a child too and he left me with some lasting fun memories of us growing up together. He was dearly loved. I know you will miss your Dad and I am sorry he left us so soon. Love, Aunt Carmen

Butch was special and unique in so many ways. When he came to visit a few years ago I would kid him about carrying that big stick. He carried it where ever we went. It really drew some attention to his presence.
He loved to be outside and enjoy Gods creation. We spoke often on the phone and most of the time religion was the main topic. He really loved the Lord and would often take long walks along the river where he could relax and meditate. Not many people have read the Bible cover to cover four times like he did. He loved to discus the word. There is one thing I know for sure, Butch will spend eternity in heaven. He was a loving and caring brother that we will all miss dearly. I can still hear his voice, and he always made me smile.
Until we meet again.
I love you brother,

Dick

Doug & Family,
Uncle Butch was truly a gentle, sweet man always caring about others. We are grateful to have known him & will miss him. we are looking forward to the time the Bible mentions in Revelation 21:4
" he (Jehovah) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more".
May you find comfort in your many memories. Please know that you are in our prayers.
  Love, Terrill & Piper

Butch when we were growing up

November 30, 2015

He was a sweet little rascal. Always teasing our sister Sybil and I. We lost our mother when he was just a teenager and he grew up and joinded the Navy. He loved his time in the service. However,  His heart was broken again when we lost sister Sybil at 27 years old. Butch and I traveled together to see our sisters 2 daughters and their children. It was a great fun filled  trip. He went back and spent a month or so with them in Alabama. He was so loving and he often spoke lovingly of his sons and the great  times they had togeher. .
We traveled to Hawaii together with our brother Jim, and  and more recently our brother Dick visited with him and  brother Duane in Seattle and spent time with Butch in his home in Bellingham laughing about fun times we had at family picnics and other great times together .
He has left us all with some wonderful memories of his kindesses, his laughter
and his great sense of humor. I loved his joyful  laugh, kind of a chuckle. We will all miss you ,my Brother and know that you are remembered and we will all think of you often. Sleep well my sweet prince.  Your loving sister Carmen.
