Today I am at the house I'm buying in North Carolina and planted in my new yard are some rose bushes. I thought of my mom right away--how much she loved gardening, especially her rose bushes. Once I get settled into my new house I'll be planting rose bushes in her memory and will think about her every time they bloom.  I think of my mom all the time. And we are doing a lot of geneology research on the White family. I wish you were here to share some of the history and information we have been able to find.
I will miss you and love you always.....

Miss you both so much at Christmastime.
I’ll always remember the good times we had growing up and shopping for and putting up the Christmas tree. And a Christmas tree in every room!  Every time I hear White Christmas, song by Bing Crosby, I’ll always think of my parents, especially my dad
Love you both! Nancy

Although I have great memories of the times I got to spend with my mom and dad; I’ll never be able to take a trip to Vermont without thinking of them.  My mom and I would sit out back in the morning enjoying a cup of coffee and watch the blue jays, chickadees, chipmunks and squirrels enjoy the peanuts and bird food we left for them. We would take rides to several different flower nurseries and she eagerly helped me plant my flower beds. It was the simple things we enjoyed. I hope there is a place ain heaven, just like the Connecticut River, (Dummerston) where my mom can sit on the boulders and dangle her feet in the water and my dad can swim beside her.

I feel so blessed to have had my grandmother in my life for 28 years. I will always remember family get togethers in Vermont, NY, and Florida. I'll always remember holidays and good times as a family. Grandma loved her cats, flowers, chocolate and would smile when we came into the room. I love her and miss her already.

How they met..

February 13, 2011

From what I remember, Dad met mom in Church. She was a blonde and Dad liked the back of her head. On their first date, mom drove her car and did not want to tell Dad she could drive so mom sent her dad back to get the car.

Mom taught dad to drive and Dad taught mom to swim. A match made in heaven as they say..

We lived simply and but enjoyed vacations together in Vermont and up and down the east coast. As they got older they travelled to Europe and especially liked Germany. Many trips to Pittsburgh and Florida to visit their kids and grandchildren...(Becky, Brian, Lauren and Diana).

Mom loved to plant flowers in the back garden. Roses and gernaiums and tomatoes...

Good times...
