Lil Dee
shared many dinners with you and Donna Jones . We not only did
a radio talk show together ; we talked about life and happiness and
The Lord above. I met other members of your family - your daughter
Debby . Fond memories of you at the Howard Cobb dinner theater
and other events in the mid South.
You cared enough about me , to visit me in the Hospital and say
prayers at my bedside . You were a great friend and I still have the
photo of you - with the personal message on the back to me.
You will always be thought of by the many people whos lives you
touched.

Virginia , Donna jones , Debbie ( her daughter ) & Me
I remember being at the MidSouth Fair . It was hotter than blue-blazes . We ate snow cones
and walked our legs off. They had a cage set up with a Lion ( with Teeth ) so you could get
your photo taken with the Lion. Donna wanted to do this and asked me to do it with her ;
I said H--- No ! She did it ! Gutsy lady ----- Virginia & I watched from outside. I think
Virginia would have also done this ; she had no fear. Virginia drove this really nice white-
cream collored "Caty" ! She loved that car ... Debbie & her daughter went their way
afterwards and ( after we left the FAIR ) Virginia , Donna and Me went to one of our
two hour dinners at a Great Restaurant in Memphis. I think Virginia bought the meal !
Virginia lived life to the fullest and she treated her friends ( Donna & I ) like we were
Family and told us ----she loved us . She was a special giving Person !
Ole ' Memphis Friend
I did not know she passed away. We were close friends in Memphis from 1985
to 1988 , Virginia was a giving person. We ate dinner together many times
over the years. Donna Jones also went with us. They were at that time close
friends.
Virginia and I did a Radio Show together . Call in show on WMC 790 . Her
daughter "Debbie " would also sometimes be on the show. I met some of
other members of her family while in Memphis. I think we also went to
the Howard Cobbs Gas Light dinner theater. Virginia came to visit me while
in the Hospital after a surgery and She actually stayed all night with me as
she fell asleep in a chair next to my bed - she was a giving person and a
People Person.
I felt bad we had not kept in touch thru the years . I left Memphis for another
radio station and time went bye.
I will always remember Virginia for her kindness to me and her thoughtful
ways. With love always , her friend .
