Virginia Adcock Weary, 83, passed away at the home of her daughter, Sunday, July 24, 2011 in Rougemont.
A native of Granville County, the widow of Harry Hunt “Pee Wee” Weary, the daughter of the late Luther C. and Mary T. Adcock and her Mama, Rosa O. Adcock. She attended Riverside Baptist Church and she and her husband were owners of Pee Wee’s Bar-B-Que.
Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Pastor Jimmy Jones and Rev. Bill Starnes. Entombment will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Jones (Pastor Jimmy Jones) of Rougemont, a son, Harry Wayne “Peanut” Weary of Oxford, two sisters, Erdine A. Elliott of Fayetteville, Joyce Rouse (Louie) of Fuquay Varina, a brother, Calvin A. Adcock (Marie) of Henderson, six grandchildren, Kenneth Cox, Jennifer Cesal, Margaret Alphin, Michael Weary, Wayne Weary, Jonathan Jones and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Lee “Bobby” Cox.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford and other times at the home of her daughter Pastor Jimmy and Bonnie Jones, 6009 Isham Chambers, Rougemont, NC. 27572
