Vivek Ramesh Joshi was born in Chakan, Pune on March 2nd, 1963. He moved to the USA in 1997. He was a jovial gentleman who was always ready with a quick joke and always had a smile on his face. Vivek started his career as a software engineer, and later obtained his MBA and managed projects and programs at a variety of companies such as McKesson, Reuters, and IBM. He was a man of curiosity and a knack for picking up other talents on the fly. He was deeply invested in his local community and friends and was a generous volunteer.

Vivek had moved to India in September 2019 to be with his parents and had since been taking care of them. After seeing them through their last days, he unfortunately contracted COVID-19 and passed of post-COVID complications at KEM hospital in Pune. We will remember him as a a man who always possessed a zeal for life, travel, and good times with his family and friends.

Vivek Joshi was a colleague and a dear friend. His friendly company was one of the most heart warming part of our time in Boise. The assignment in Boise was an unexpected one. Although the place was great, we missed India often. He joined me a few weeks later and that lifted our spirits. We used to hangout during our breaks. Soon our families met each other and bonded. We fell in love with their smart and enthusiastic son Rudra. Weekend get togethers and trips became common. It was a very memorable time.

It is such a loss! He was a very nice, kind, helpful and friendly man. He had his own way of adding humor to a conversation and made our get togethers fill with laughter. We will miss you Vivek.

Sacrifice made by Vivek,is beyond any comparison..As righly said by Kedar,in his message, Vivek was "श्रावण बाळ" of the today's era.He has left no stone unturned in serving the ailing parents.
It feels that,,he has left this world,to serve the parents,in the God's kingdom.
We all have lost-a suave, unassuming and dedicated personality.
Our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.

Mama we will miss you.he was gentleman with smiling face. I never saw a person who come from USA to look after his parents. He was very positive. I still can't believe that he is no more. Till last moment I was thinking that some miracle should happen and mama should get recovered from the bad condition. He was the only person from my husband's family who was behaving like parent. May his soul rest in piece. No more words to say. We will miss you forever.

SHRAVANBAL - can be honored with. As our next generation might not have heard about. After spending so many years abroad, rushed to Pune for parents when he was really required. Was there till end.

We used to have always long chats where I used to share more. He used to listen & further end chats with guidance. Will definitely miss u Vivekdada.

Many memories linked with. But will definitely like to share the word Mumbai international air port started in my life due to Vivekdada & continued for many years further where we used to meet after his arrival or before departure.
