She was a beautiful soul. A big sister to me, I’ll never forget all the love between us. We laughed until we cried or peed our pants! I would watch her play guitar for hours when we were young, I was always intrigued by her knowledge of music and art without having lessons. She was Brave, never needed anyone to tell her how to do things. She would always figure it out. She definitely did everything her way even to her death. Vivian was just like our dad, strong willed and determined to do things her way. She was amazingly smart and always resourceful. A loving sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We had such a special love between the sisters, time would go by without seeing eachother , but we would always start back where we had left off. I love you Sis, you’ll be forever missed. Give’em heck up there! Hug Mom, Dad, Charlene and Kevin for us. I know you’re at peace now. She would say what Jesus said, Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; in my Fathers house are many rooms, I go to prepare a place for you. For where I am you may be also. John 14:1 This is our promise and our hope for those who believe. I know she is dancing in Heaven. Love you big Sis, and yes to your last question to me: I always enjoyed you giving me those many stroller rides! ❤️❤️❤️

Her Life

Never Lose Hope

June 12, 2019

Vivian was the loving mother of William Thoos and Amanda Smith. She had 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Jon, Audrey, Cash, Tristan & Brandon (twins), and two great grandsons Ewan and Roan. She was born in New York and moved to Burbank, Ca as a child. She passed away after a near decade battle with various illnesses.

Vivian was fiercely independent, wickedly funny, brilliantly smart, nonjudgemental, accepting, kind and pure soul with a deeply innocent quality. She loved flowers and animals. In her youth she use to sing and play guitar. She loved country music, murder mysteries, lunch meat, crossword puzzles and 'America's Funnies Home Videos.' Vivian was a devoted friend of Bill W. - serving as secretary, treasurer, barista, greeter, and reader. Her life antidotes include "Never Lose Hope," "Stop and Smell the Roses," "If I were (missing item), where would I be?" - and you know what? I tried it one day and it works. I use it all the time. She also would tell you "Feed the squirrels everyday."

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, sister Charlene, niece Tammy and nephew Kevin.
