BIOGRAPHY OF LATE MRS ONYEBUCHI VIVIAN MADUAGWU (Nee Ijomah)

Late Mrs. Onyebuchi Vivian Ijomah (Nee Ijomah) was the last child of Late Chief Chukwudifu
Roxy Ijomah of Umuatashia kindred, Umuenu village, and Mrs. Nwazuruahu Felicia Ijomah
(Nee Maduagwu) of Eze Nwaibina Kindred, Umunkwocha village both of Oguta, Imo-State,
Nigeria. She was born on the 17th day of April 1978.

Onyebuchi Vivian started her educational pursuit at Town School Oguta from 1984- 1989. She attended her secondary education at Oguta Girls High School, Oguta from 1990-1995 where she obtained both Junior and Senior School Certificate Examination (JSCE & SSCE). She gained admission to Imo State University, Owerri in 1997/98 where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Anthropology in 2001. During her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2002, she was posted to Lagos state and served with the Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria as a marketing executive. Due to her brilliant performance, she was retained in the company after her service year. She married her sweetheart on February 24th, 2015 and they migrated to the United States of America where she continued her educational pursuit. Onyebuchi obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Everest University, Brandon campus with an emphasis in Human Resources (2012).

Late Onyebuchi Vivian Maduagwu had a robust career in social work which spanned through a period of 15 years at various capacities from Mental Health Care, inc. (Gracepoint), Florida Department of Children and Family (DCF) and until her demise, she worked as a social worker at Humana long-term care in the city of Tampa, Florida.

A loving, amiable, selfless, responsible, and committed Christian mother who raised her children in the fear of God Almighty. Onyebuchi started her Christian journey at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Oguta where she was a worker and this continued in the same manner when she arrived in the USA at Christ Apostolic Church, Tampa. She served as a sanctuary keeper and the secretary of the “Good women” group in the church until her demise. She had an unalloyed love for the Lord and the things of God and was eager to serve in the church.

Mrs. Onyebuchi Vivian Maduagwu also served as the first lady of the Imo Community of Tampa, Inc during the 4-year tenure of her husband as the president of the community. She was loved and adored by her husband and children and always extended her warm welcome to relations, friends, and associates.

Late Onyebuchi Vivian Ijomah was married to Dr. Okoroafor Nduka (Duke) Maduagwu in 2015 and was blessed with two adorable children, Sochibueze and Zoe.

Onyebuchi is survived by her aged mother, brothers, and sisters. She would be sorely missed by her family, friends, associates, and those that know her and cherish that smile that brightens the day like sunshine.
