Funeral Arrangements In remembrance of our beloved brother Olawale Babatunde Agun, we lit a candle around the globe at 8pm local time in Nigeria 21st May,. We observed a 2 minute silence and said a prayer for the departed soul.

I stumbled on this site with tributes to my beloved brother. I am his senior. Bro and can testify to wale's big heart and amazing ability to make friends. L remember our tough table tennis matches in our younger days. Despite my amazing skill he was better than me, even though l always used ojoro to win. I greatly appreciate everyone who contributed to this website to keep his memory Alive, especially people like dobsin and others greatly appreciated.

I was shocked when i heard of your passing. I saw you last in july, 2019 when you offered to take me back to lagos from ibadan. I wanted to get down on the way, so you could carry on but you insisted on getting me to my place. That was how caring you were. Whenever, we met in ibadan each time we go to celebrate with the Adegunles, you greeted with love and respect. You are greatly missed. say Wali eje temi (as I hailed him) words simply cant express the pain in my heart that I will see you in flesh no more. My consolation is that since I left satellite for the UK nearly 30yrs ago we never lost contact and we always linked up whenever I was in the country.
I also take consolation from the fact that I saw you when you came to my late father's vigil on 23.10.19 but little did I know it was meant to be the last hug as I bade you goodbye when you were leaving. Your last words to me was 'Col Ogbo I hope the burial goes well in the East' never knew that was the last time I was going to be ever addressed as 'Col Ogbo'

There are times I would like to question God for so many untimelys, but I rest my position on the premise that our God stands unquestionable, afterall it is all divine privilege on man to inhabit this earth and one day we all shall return home at our appointed time. You prophesied great future careers for us according to how we are. Now we'll never fly you over with our private jets. You called me your daughter and I call you my Daddy! How I remember so clearly those days as a little girl, when I will say "carry me" and you will always do and throw me up and spin me around.. I knew no one could try me in Satellite then because I had big Egbons like you who will be right there when I called. I still remember when you saw my kids recently and how we teased about you carrying me as a little girl. You had such a caring and large heart. Hmmmm still very unbelievable... can't fathom the fact that you are no more... same you visited my Dad in the hospital late last year, very shocking and sad but I thank God, that you are now in a better place! You were like a brother to me infact you were my brother and never hesitated to act as such while we were growing up as Children in Close 16, Satellite Town. You always called me Leto-teetee and will hail me by saying *I am too much and you trust that no one can try me* this always brought a smile to my face & I will giggle excitingly and funny enough this statement which seemed like a joke later had a strong impact on the woman I became! I met uncle Wale in Accra when he came visiting sis B! We conversed like we had known each other for long! You were such a cool and down to earth person. Always ready to listen, give advise and honestly tell you when you are missing it! I always looked forward to your visits! Wale po po po...that's what I used to call you and Bunmi would laugh. You were such a gentle and easy going soul. Underneath that gentle mien though, was a mischievous, teasing and comical personality.
Very humble and personable...there was no errand too big for you to run for Bunmi on my account...thank you for all those times. You were very supportive of Bunmi's business, her myriad of friends and acquired sisters.

Wale was a dear friend to me, my brother and sisters. We grew up together in Satellite Town as wily teenagers to adults going through life’s challenges daily. Wale was ever present at the tennis court, football field daily and especially during school holiday times when we all saw a lot of each other and got into all types of mischief. An immense personality, sense of humour with a warm and affectionate heart, Wale touched everyone who came into contact with him. Wale’s uncanny ability to provide nicknames for everyone was legendary. We were privileged to meet up in Accra Ghana as recently as last year 2019 when we relived some of these memories and reminisced with hilarity. Wale’s sudden death came as a complete shock to us all and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family in their time of grief.
We will miss you our dear friend.
May your soul rest in eternal peace with our Lord. Farewell till we meet again.

I heard the news of your demise, but was too shocked to say anything.
You offered to pick me up to attend the last set reunion at Eko Hotel, you fulfilled you promise and even offered to take me home.
We talked at length on our way to and from the reunion venue. We promised ourselves that we would always find time to hook up and talk.
Tried getting across to you on several occasions but to no avail but to be met with the rude shock of your loss.
