Dad and Mom would drive the whole family to Forest Lake to visit all our cousins. Rick and I would sit in the 3rd seat of my Dad's 1956 Ford station wagon.The radio was playing 10 hours up to MN and 10 hours back to Chicago.



  

We were pulling up in our  Dodge 440 Station Wagon, 9 seater, white exterior - our Uncle Bun drove the car down to Illinois so Dad could buy it (his brother in law).


Dad and Mom drove us up to Forest Lake in the 440, and we arrived around 11pm-pretty late...and the Mosquitos and Lightening Bugs were out to get us !


Everyone was awake at the cottage-we had a great time, as usual, up at Forest Lake.

- Dad was with Standard Oil and joined Blaine Cook at United Airlines - UAL in Chicago around 1966+.


We spent a lot of time in front of the Hi-Fi back then.
