Walter Eugene Johnston, 76, Reeds Spring, was born May 17, 1936,
in Hiawatha, Kan., to Emmitt Eugene and
Gladys Lillie Cline Johnston and departed this life June 20, 2012,
in Cox South Medical Center, Springfield, Mo.

 

Walter had moved back to the area in 1992 from South Dakota
and had worked as an over the road truck driver.Later to become
a Small Engine Repairman till he retired.

 

He was a member of the Rockaway Beach Baptist Church.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents;
a daughter, Sandra Ann Johnston; brother,
Bobby Johnston and a great-grandson, Christopher Simpson .

 

Survivors include his wife, Patricia of the home;
four sons, Walter Eugene Johnston Jr. and wife, Laurel
of North Pole, Alaska; Emmitt Charles Johnston and wife,
Stephanie of Spokane, Mo.; Robin Wesley Johnston of St. Joseph,
Daughter in Law Miki Johnston of Kansas City, MO.
and Patrick Andrew Johnston and wife, Melinda of Cape Fair, Mo.;
a daughter, Sharon Kay Lowry and husband Richard
of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers,
Cecil Johnston and Harold Johnston, both of Bedford, Iowa;
three sisters, Juanita Boydston of Rockaway Beach, Mo.;
Mildred Marts of St. Joseph and Pearl Raney of Atchison, Kan.;
14-grandchildren,
9-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
