I enjoyed revisiting this website tonight and reflecting on the lives of two people who were used of God to speak into my life - Walt and Laura Stewart. As the years go by, I am getting more and more eager for Heaven and the eternity we will all spend together with our Lord. Tonight, I give thanks for Walt and praise God he is safe with Him.

Remembering one of the sweetest, godly men I have ever known. So glad I got to know him and thanking God for his sweet daughters who we consider part of our family. I know you are having a great time in heaven.

3 years ago today my wonderful father went home to be with Jesus. It would seem that heaven needed another angel.  How blessed I was to have such a loving Father. One who loved unconditionally. I miss his laughter, his smile, his determination and sitting with him just holding his hand while watching tv. What a special man. Forever in my heart. I love you and miss you Dad.

As I say Happy Birthday to my Dad on his 98th birthday I cant help but feel sad. I miss taking him out and celebrating another year. He loved a party and we had many of them. I know he is celebrating with friends and family this year, to include mom. I will always be Daddy's Little Girl and will forever miss my Father. There is no loss like that of your parents. Happy Birthday Dad!

Pastor Stewart and Laura were instrumental in my life as a young married at Cedar Mill Bible Church in the 70's. My husband and I arrived at CMBC as new regular attenders on the same Sunday as the Stewarts September of 1971. As the young marrieds group was formed, Pastor Stewart was our mentor, host, and guide. I remember drawing on his wisdom and always knowing he would be there for us. He loved us and our children unconditionally. I am so glad he was a part of our lives.

Hello Laura, Laurie & RJ. We just found out last week Walter had gone to be with the Lord. We were always impressed with his love for people and the Lord as well as all of you. What a wonderful legacy he left behind to have lived his life allowing the Lord to live in him and through him. May God comfort you all until we all meet in Heaven. Paul & Kathy Johnson, Newport, WA

Because we lived so so far apart, my great-uncle Walter on the West Coast and our family in Detroit, I didn't get to see him often. I remember all his visits, from the time I was a small child. I always loved being with Walter and Laura. Walter was so loving, caring, and so much fun to be with! I will cherish the memories of the times we spent together.

We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Walter's passing, he was my favorite uncle and it always meant so much to me whenever he would call, he always was so caring. Suzanne called to let us know and I called Bev. Wish we didn't live so far away, we'd love to see you all.

I have met only a handful of people who walk with God in absolute faith and perseverance – Walter was at the top of that list. I had the privilege to study and pray with him for almost five years. Revival and reaching the unsaved were his great passion – he had a servant’s heart. What a great joy it will be to see him again and walk the streets of gold. Ps 19:14 is my memory of Walter

Mr. Stewart loved the Lord first, followed by loving his wife first after the lord, and loved his girls also first after the lord. He had his priorities aligned as an example for those left behind to admire. He talked to me about how great the Lords love is and how much it meant to him in his life. He now is experiencing that love firsthand. What a blessing to look forward to in my life.

My memories of Walter are those of smiles, laughs and happiness. Walter always had a smile on his face and in his soul and projected that feeling out to others. Walter and Laura moved away from Cochella Valley to be close to Laurie and Derek in Spokane and I truly missed seeing their smiling faces, they were missed then and will be missed until we all meet in Heaven.
