I was born Oct. 8, 1959.  My mother had a brain tumor when she was 6 months pregnant with me.  My dad had to work so my sister and brother went and stayed with my Aunt Rose.  After giving mom meds to keep me alive and meds to keep her pain free.  I was born addicted to morphine.  With no help and no idea what to do my dad took me home.  Where he managed to take care of a screaming newborn going through withdrawls.  I don't know how he managed.  But to me he is a hero.
Even as I grew up, my mom was not the same.  She blamed me for everything. This put my dad in the position of my defender.  This had to be a very difficult thing when your own wife and mother to your baby girl was putting him in the middle.  

Daddy thank you for having always been there to save me.  Whether from a storm, my mom,  or even an abusive ex.  You are truly my hero and I miss you everyday!!
