Wanda Jean Davis, age 85 departed this life, Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Grafton Oaks Nursing Home.  She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on December 4, 1933 to the late John and Lula Brown.  She was the youngest of ten children.  Wanda was a graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School.  Wanda worked in housekeeping and as a nurse’s aide at various nursing homes and hospitals.  She loved exercising, walking, listening to music and cooking.  She loved her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Elwood Brown and Robert Brown; six sisters, Olee Brown, Sannie Bradley, Annie Ruth Brown, Sarah Brown, Mary Jackson, Shirley Walton; one grandson, Sidney Simon. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Michael Hampton of Dayton, OH, daughter, Crystal Hampton of St. Petersburg, FL;  granddaughter, Brittany Smitherman;  great grandchildren, Sydney, Dallas, Djon, Sid, Jr., Messiah, Sydney Lauren; a sister, Doris Young (Hal); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
