My dad was an amazing man... He touched the lives of so many... He was the best father, husband, brother, son, and teacher. One of the strongest men I will ever know. He's missed dearly everyday.

A true measure of a man isn't what he does in front of a crowd, but what he does when nobody is looking. Oh, this says so much about my Uncle Doug. I don't even know where to start with leaving a tribute, but I will start with he, and the other "boys" are a part of my first childhood memories. We all attended the little Grassland church. This is truly where my love for family was rooted into the core of my being. I would sit with my parents and sister and Uncle Doug would sit behind us. He would quietly lean up and tell jokes. He was quiet; however, my laughter to his jokes was anything, but quiet. Throughout the years it was an awesome foundation of family that I could lean on and continue to lean on and you know the person in your family that holds the answers to so many of lives unknowns: which car is the best to buy; what's wrong with my car; will I be a mom one day; should I pursue a doctoral degree; will my husband return from Iraq okay? This conversation I only had with him. Oh, Uncle Doug, I miss you, but I know you are dancing on the streets of gold with those that have gone on before us. Everyone in their lifetime should be fortunate enough to have an Uncle Doug. Love & miss you, Annie
