The daughter of the late Leslie Spivey and Raymond "Sam" Jones, Mrs. Sutton was born in Lumpkin, Stewart County, GA. She was a homemaker and of Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Sutton, Jr., two sons, Tyrone Mitchell and Anthony Mitchell, and two siblings, Evelyn and Major.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four children, Jerome Jones, Mary Ngalame-James, Lamar Mitchell and Kim-Lynn Mitchell; her grandchildren, Jermaine, Kira and William, Tiffani, Jamishia, Tywan and Angela, Ricardo, Elantra, Tynisha, Mikaila, Justin, Abriea, and Christian; sixteen great grandchildren; her siblings, Ida, Mary, Emma, Haywood and Wylene, Raymond and Gloria Ann, George and Veronica, Patricia, Maurice and Gloria Ann, Juanita, and Nathanial; a beloved aunt, Susie Stride; special friends, Charlie Mae Thomas and Dorothy Garrett; other loving family member and friends.
