Wesley Alan Pruitt 2002-2014

Funeral services for Wesley Alan Pruitt, 13, of Alba were held March 17 at Bull Creek Cowboy Church in Lone Oak with Bro. Paul McMerrell and Bro. Wayne Wolfe officiating.

Burial was in Salem Cemetery in Wood County. Pallbearers were Joe House, Scott McGowan, Michael Adams, Alex Conner, Josh Christian and Jeremy Latham. Honorary pallbearers were the young men and young women of Rains ISD.

Wesley died on March 12, 2014, in Emory. He was born in Sulphur Springs on May 31, 2000, to Kennith Alan and Sherree Lissette Hill Pruitt.

Wesley was an eighth-grade student at Rains Jr. High. He was a member of the 4-H Club,football A team, powerlifting and track teams.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sherree and Dougie Latham of Alba; father and stepmother, Ken and Amanda Pruitt of Emory; sisters, Taylor Pruitt of Alba and Kaylee Pruitt of Emory; brothers, Gene Beck of Emory, Braydon Lennon of Sulphur Springs and Turner Latham of Alba; grandparents, Joe “Pop” Hill of Alba, Sonjia “Mama” Reep of Emory, Joyce “Memaw” Bell of Alba, Paul “Paw” Pruitt of Alba, Sharon “Maw” Latham of Emory and Cindy and Gary Monroe of Alba; great-grandparents, John and Joyce Blanton of Emory,Audrey Hill, Jackie and Wanda Huddleston Sr. and Jimmie LouOliver, all of Alba; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Wesley was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Latham; great-grandfather, Jodie Hill; great-great grandparents, Lyndell and Lorene Huddleston.

A love fund in Wesley’s name has been set up at Austin Bank in Emory.
Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
