Some people may think that Whitney Houston was just an ordinary singer,but to me
her voice was incredible and on those days when I would happen to have my newest Whitney Houston tape, hearing her voice got me through a lot of things.So when I found out that she was coming to be in Lafayette at the Cajundome,I begged my Mom to get tickets,which knowing how much I liked Whitney Houston,she did and we went and I got to see Whitney Houston in concert.Well, listening to Whitney's music has always been a big part of my music library and I can't began to tell you how shocked I was to learn that my favorite singer of all time who I had pretty much been listening to since I was young had passed away.She will be sorely missed by many that knew and loved her voice

Whitney lives on in our hearts and in our memories. Her music will go on for generations to come in our children and their children. Whitney left us a priceless gift of love and music, dedication and one somber thought. Today is for living and learning the meaning of love. Not that we make love or feel love but that our whole being understands and is love because our souls will graduate like hers has and we will know a new world and all the reasons for our sufferings in this world. So at night when I look up at the stars and I see that one bright shooting star I know in my heart that its Whitney, that she is still very much with us and that that is her way of letting us know that she is in a peaceful new place and that she is smiling that beautiful smile as she looks down at us.We will join her again one day soon as we all graduate to the next realm of spirituality with our souls. It is there that we can all live in peace and without pain and tears. It is this level of life we are living that burdens us with sorrow, pain and affliction. My constant prayer is that we will soon be in heavenly peace and taken from this world of war and greed. Do not morn for Whitney we should morn for ourselves because we still exist here on earth. I love you Whitney.. You are that bright shooting star in our dark nights........
