Wilbur Cumbus, passed away peacefully at home August 4, 2022 in McKinney, Texas after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Gornto Cumbus, his sister Linda Armey, son Jerald Cumbus and wife Carol Cumbus, and three grandchildren: Anaïsa Rosalee Michelle Cumbus, Rin Cumbus, and Owen Cumbus and his nieces and nephews. Wilbur loved his family, fishing, camping and spending time with his many friends over the years.

He was an Army veteran who served in the US Signal Corps. Most of Wilbur's work life involved automobiles. He was a master car painter and worked doing museum quality restoration of antique cars for many years. Later in life, he retired working with Putnam County Schools Transportation Department. He was loved and will be missed by family and many friends.
