   Willa Deane Brereton, 90, of Peoria, formerly of East Peoria, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Grand View Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Peoria.
     A Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
     Willa was born on January 29, 1929 in Hollandale, MS, a daughter of Edward and Mary (Stephens) McClean. She married James T. Brereton on June 15, 1968 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two step-sons, Robert and Richard (Angela) Brereton.
     She is survived by her daughters, Jo Lynn (Chris) Weber of McMinnville, TN, Karen Brown of Annapolis, MD, Marian (the late Randall Bourscheidt) Grebner of Peoria, Mary (Maurice) Hammer of Thonotosassa, FL and Elizabeth (Gary) Robertson of Dunedine, FL; step-children, Stephen (Edie) Brereton of Peoria, Peggy Brereton of Hollywood, FL and Connie (Dave) Stokoe of Morton; sisters, Ollie Rose Hollis of Tupelo, MS and Norma Cathran of Biloxi, MS; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren; and sixteen step-great grandchildren.
     Willa worked at for the US Postal Service for over 30 years, retiring as the office personnel manager in Peoria. She was a member of the former Dayton Avenue Baptist Church.
     Memorial contributions may be made in Willa’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association.
