It was valentines day and I think my parents were low on money and every year my father would buy us girls something for valentines day, flowers, candy, stuffed animal etc. I hear the doorbell ring and open to see my father standing there. He looks sad and he says this is for you sweetie its not much but I love you have a good day then he walks away. He had taken two pieces of paper cut out the shape of a heart stapled it together leaving the top open to fill with candy from the candy dish then stapled it shut and on one side it says I love you and on the other side it said poor mans valentine. It means more to me than any gift that money could have bought and I still have to this day and every valentines day I pull it out and remember him. I love you daddy
