William Burns Liles, 58, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at his home.

A native of Greene County, Ill., he was the son of the late Melvin Liles Jr. and Mary Ann Scoggins. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Ideal Fastener.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Surviving are three daughters, Kylie Liles of Creedmoor, Shelby Liles of Jerseyville, Ill., Dalee Schwegel of Scott Air Force Base in Illnois, five sons, Dylan Liles (Nikki) of Louisburg, Jared Liles (Kristy) of Oxford, Seth Liles (Jennifer) of Houston, Texas, Eli Liles of Jerseyville, Ill., and Tobiah Liles of Jerseyville, Ill., a sister, Patty Droste of Illinois and fourteen grandchildren.
