His Life
March 25, 2015

Bill Bousquet was a veteran of the US Air Force and served multiple tours in Vietnam. In 1965 he joined the Austin Police Department. As a rookie officer there were no FTO programs so you teamed up with a Senior Officer to "show you the rope", his Sr. Officer was Houston McCoy.

In the mid 70's Bill left APD and became a training officer at the Texas Department of Public Safety Academy. He was instrumental in bringing nationally renowned instructors to DPS to teach schools. And he was the coordinator of several schools, including Officer Survival.

He remained there until retiring in the early 90's, and was then hired by Williamson County Sheriff's Department as Chief Deputy over Corrections. He worked there until the late 90's and left due to heath reasons and settled into retirement life!
