This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, William Fair, 82, born on November 29, 1929 and passed away on June 8, 2012. We will remember him forever.

William Earl Fair born November 29, 1929 passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Nazareth Hospital after fighting heart disease.  William was born and raised in Arkansas.  He joined the U.S.Navy at the young age of 19.  Mr. Fair retired from the U. S. Navy as an Aviation Structural Mechanic First Class Petty Officer after giving 30 years of service.  He then worked for Kimberly Clark Company where he retired and returned to Philadelphia to to be with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted and loving father and pop-pop.  He was predeceased by his parents: Earl and Ivy (nee Barnett) Fair. Surviving are his daughters: Cindy Fair (Patane), Nancy Fair (Weiszer), Julie Fair (Pero) Kimberly (Wing).  He is predeceased by two sons: William E. Fair, Jr and David Fair.  Also surviving are eleven grand-children: Krystal, Chalena, James, Amanda, Dana, Emily, Laura, Alicyn, Henry, DJ and Brandon and many great grand-children.   A Service of Memory and Love will be offered Thursday June 14, 2012 at 10:30 - 12:30 from The Petner Funeral Home, 6421 Frankford Avenue, Phila, PA. Burial will be private at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

Dear Uncle Bill, I will miss the gentle soul that you were...you loved to go on for hours telling your life's experiences and you had many of them..you had that good old southern way about you and that charm fit you well!!!....you'll always be remembered....Cindy,Nancy,Julie and Kim and all the Grandchildren, I am so sorry for your loss...he was a remarkable man indeed!!...Diana
