William Henry Brooks, 82 of Rossville died Sunday November 23, 2014.
     He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was a Baptist by faith. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Universal Towing & Recovery in 2011 after more than 18 years in the business.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Brooks and Jessie Grimes Johnson; and a brother-in-law, Willard Ford.
     He is survived by his children, Gene (Lisa) Brooks, Dean (Cindy) Brooks, Tim Brooks, Beverly Brooks, Billy Brooks and Jerry (Christen) Brooks: sister Helen Revels; grandchildren, Skyler, Amanda, Jesse and Ruth Ann; and several nieces and nephews.
     Funeral service were held yesterday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Oglethorpe with Rev. Leeroy Webb officiating. Interment followed in Tyner Cemetery.
     Arrangements were by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home in Ft. Oglethorpe.
