Knowing Willie these last few years has been a wonderful blessing , I feel like we have been life long friends and I would ride the shuttle just so we could talk.
I never told Willie I loved him and sorry for that but I think he knew it.

My heart goes out to my family right now. I gasped for air and my heart skipped a beat when I heard the news of your condition, and then immediate sadness at the thought of family without you here. Such a gift from God, you knew how to make an entrance and be a presence that brought joy and laughter to so many of us. You are truly missed and I will cherish the fun memories of you being my sweet Godfather. Thank you for making me feel special when it was You who was the special one.  ~with love, Shalevia

Willie was a kind person who always had a great story to tell and energy to give. It was impossible not to smile when talking to him about cars or his celebrity encounters.

I am sorry for your loss, and hope you are able to take the time to grieve. Take good care.

Dear Members of the Goldring Family,

I am so sorry to hear of Willie's passing. He was the first person of contact for many of us on our way to the Board. It was like your first smile of the day which is so important, especially to set your whole day in a better direction. I had many conversations with Willie about his former life in federal govt, his work now and what he had planned to do after this second career. This is why I am so saddened to hear of this news.

Of the many inspiring qualities Willie had I would say his work ethic was one I admire the most. He said there was no reason be sitting home and he could drive his corvette on the one day off he had from the chauffeur service. I think he will serve as a reminder to the many staff of the Federal Reserve about what a dedicated, honest, and hardworking person really is. The Federal Reserve really represents people like Willie around the country. As someone who rarely missed a day, always listened, and had a conversation that was different with everyone.

I only wish I got to know him better. My sincerest regards to your family.

Willie Goldring was without equal the best man I've ever known. I remember his stories that would have my entire family laughing for hours. The times I needed help and he never failed to respond. How wonderful he was to my nephews. And that big smile that made you feel he was always happy to see you.

He was so many things to so many people; husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend, and he was excelled at each and every role.

The hardest part about knowing someone like Willie is losing them. My condolences to the Goldring family and everyone whose life he touched.

RIP my friend.

That smile. That's what everyone will remember. That's what I will remember. Willie was such a good human. Honest and kind, he lit up when he spoke about the things (sports and race cars) and people (his family) he loved. Sending warm and supportive thoughts to his family. Rest in peace, Willie.

My sincere condolences to the family. Although Willie is absent here on earth, I believe he is now present with the Lord. I will truly miss seeing and talking with Willie while riding on the shuttle bus about his plans to move down south when he retired and about the car shows and races he would attend. Sorry my husband and I did not get the opportunity to attend your invitations to some outings due to scheduling conflicts, but we'd talk about them afterwards. My husband and I will always be thankful to you for arranging a beautiful top-of-the-line limousine for our wedding with all the bells and whistles!!! I will miss you my friend... Love always

Willie completely understood what life was about. He genuinely listened, cared, advised and gave. Willie was the type of guy that was so genuine that he made you want to be a better person. I often asked myself "how did he remember that about me". The answer was because he cared and was truly interested in people and relationships. That was his gift. He could spark a conversation with anyone. I truly looked up to him and will miss his genuine conversation. A guy like him you will always wish you had spent more time talking with. Can't wait to conversate with you in Heaven Willie!

Sending my condolences and prayers to his family and friends.
I had the pleasure of knowing him as a driver at the Federal Reserve, whenever I rode the shuttle he was a joy and pleasure to speak with, beautiful spirit and soul. Once he found out that I was from Charles County, he referred to me as "Homegirl", that always made me smile. R.I.P. Mr. Willie.

Driving a shuttle bus where I worked, Willie shared in one of my happiest experiences and made it even better. When I got word that my granddaughters were born a few years ago, I left work early and hopped on the shuttle to see the new family in the hospital. Willie was driving. As he took me to the metro I had to share my good news with him. He reacted with such excitement and gladness for me that I always felt he had a role in their arrival. Over the years since, he asked regularly how my little girls were doing and was enthusiastic about the pictures I showed him. I appreciated the support he showed in that most happy but overwhelming time. I will miss him.

To Willie's family and friends, I offer sympathy on their loss. I hope that many good memories will help comfort them.

It is with great sadness to learn that William is no longer on this side with us. We worked together for many years in the postal service. Man that dude was a hard worker in the P O and as a transit driver. Condolences to his wife and the rest of his family.
