William Parks was born to the late Mr. Virgil Parks, Sr. and Lena Mae Parks on May 12, 1939 in Greenville, GA.  To this union 10 children were born.  He is preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Amey and four brothers, James, Virgil, Leon and Roscoe Parks.  He departed this life on January 26, 2013 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA.

He attended school in Meriwether County.  He was an employee of Roger Moreland Products, but later began working various landscaping jobs for many families in Greenville, becoming very close to them over the years.

William joined Red Oak Baptist Church at an early age, but grew up in Fellowship Baptist Church.  William was a kind and caring brother and friend.  He was always willing to help those around him in any way that he could.  He will be missed by anyone that ever had the pleasure of meeting him.

William leaves to cherish fond memories four sisters, Joann Shefton and Sandra Parks of Fairburn, Georgia, Lena Pearl Boyd of Riverdale, Georgia and Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy Peek (Evon) of Atlanta, Georgia; one very special friend, Jessie Mae Parks of Greenville, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Mary Dael Parks of Riverdale; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
