HIS WORK

March 2, 2012

DICKIE WORKED FOR MANY YEARS IN THE SHIPYARDS.  HE STARTED OUT AT ALABAMA DRY DOCKS IN THE EARLY 70'S AS A HELPERS ELECTRICIAN.  HE WENT ON TO BENDERS AND BECAME A ELECTRICAL ENGINEER DESIGNER WITH SOME CLASSES ON COMPUTERS.  HE WORKED SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE HIS LAST JOB AT HALTER MARINE IN GULFPORT.  HE RETIRED IN 2004 FOR MEDICAL REASONS OF HIS HEART AND  WAS AT HALTER MARINE IN GULFPORT, MS.  DICKIE WAS AN EXCELLENT DESIGNER.  I ALMOST FORGOT HE WORKED A YEAR OR MORE ON USS LEXINGTON IN PENSACOLA LONG BEFORE HE WENT TO BENDERS.  HIS LATER YEARS HE WAS IN MANANEMENT OVER AUTOCAD WORKERS.  HE ALSO TRAVELED A COUPLE TIMES TO EUROPE TO ENGLAND AND DENMARK, WASHINGTON STATE AND MICHIGAN.  DICKIE WAS SUCH A DEDIACATED WORKER IN EVERYTHING HE DID EVEN WITH OUR MARRIAGE AND HIS LOVE FOR ME.  HE WAS THE MOST WONDERFUL MAN EVER.  RIP DICKIE, I LOVE YOU.

Dickie

Dickie will always be remembered as the loving son, husband, father, grandfather he was.  He loved life with vigor as he did his work at the shipyards for many years.  He gave it 100% whatever he set out to do and was loved by all that knew him.  He was a wonderful husband and we shared 19 beautiful years together.  I know now he is not suffering anymore and is with the Lord and smiling down on all of us today.  We love you Dickie, my wonderful husband.

Love you, Nancy
