Our Life Together

August 26, 2009

I meet Randy on November 30, 2007. Our first date was at Sapporo's in Scottsdale. We had meet on Yahoo.com 3 days earlier. Randy was an hour early and I was an hour late. He waited patiently giving the seat he had saved for me to a woman with a broken leg. That's my Randy!

It was love at first sight for both of us. He told me he had seen my face in a dream and that he knew I was the one. Quite a first date!

The first song he played for me was "This I Promise You", by NSync. He put his arm around me and said,"this is going to be our song, baby. This is how I feel about you." We both cried. God, how I love him!

For Christmas he gave me a card"To My Wife" and told me I was his "home." I bought him some crazy gym bag that fits perfectly in a gym locker. He thought this was the greatest gift ever!

On our second date, Randy moved my stuff into storage, 2 days before his surgery to reverse a colostomy!

Yes, our third date was in the hospital! I stayed with Randy the entire time he was hospitalized. As strange as this may sound, it was the most magical time in our relationship. We laughed so hard that Randy had to hold his stomach. We cried tears of joy and shared our secrets. We knew we were meant to be together forever.

We had many difficult times in our short relationship. Financial problems, illnesses, and both Randy and I lost our moms. My mom died 3 days before Thanksgiving 2008 and Randy's mom died on her birthday May 19, 2009. Then on my birthday May 26, 2009 Randy's cat Boo Boo was eaten by a coyote! We had some rough times but we always came back together and our love grew stronger.

Randy was the most loving, caring man I have ever known. He gave me beautiful cards that made me cry and flowers for no occasion. He nursed me back to health after two major operations. He gave me full body massages, brushed my hair, made me dinner, and loved me completely. I never doubted his love, or his sincerity. He gave so much and expected so little in return.

He was strong and handsome, gentle and sensitive. He loved action movies but would cry watching chic flicks. His favorite movies were August Rush and Up. He believed that love was magical and I think he was right. We had a bond that was hard to explain and impossible to destroy.

He always made me feel special. He always told me and everyone else that I was beautiful and smart. He was so proud of me, and I always felt his loving protection. He was alway by my side and told me there was no where he would rather be.

We had so many trials in our brief time together yet we could not stand to be apart. We were together for less than two years yet we shared a lifetime of love. We were soul mates from the beginning. Randy's illness ended his life, but our love is forever. He will always be the love of my life.
