MY UNCLE,MY ANGEL

March 23, 2011

MY UNCLE, MY ANGEL-THATS MORE THAN WHAT HE IS TO ME. MY UNCLE LIVED WITH ME, MY MOM, AND HIS FATHER AND I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. HE BECAME MY COMFORT AFTER MY FATHER WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD AND I SAT N TOLD HIM,"UNCLE OSO PLEASE PROMISE ME YOU WILL HELP ME TO CARE FOR YOU N TALK TO ME ABOUT EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING"-HE JUST SAID-OK(BRUSHING HIS STACH WITH HIS PALM COMB.) WE WOULD LAUGH N GIVE MY MOM A HARD TIME AND WHEN HE WANTED SOMETHING HE COULDNT OR WASNT SUPPOSE TO HAVE, HE'D SNEAK IT THE SAY,"POOCHDAWG SAID I COULD!" LOL! SO I'D SAY,"YUP WHATEVER YOU WANT UNCLE OSO." MY UNCLE WAS A PATIENT MAN AND SAID VERY LITTLE BUT WHEN HE DID,BOY HE'S CRACK ME UP!

MY AUNT GRACIE TEASED HIM ONE DAY AND SAID,"POOCHDAWG WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR HER UNCLE OSO," YES THAT IS SO RITE.LOL. WHO DIDNT KNOW THAT THOUGH.WHEN I WAS YOUNGER THEY CALLED ME "POOCHIES" AND ONE DAY OUTTA THE BLUE HE STARTED CALLING ME,"POOCH DAWG,AND THREW IN A FEW RARR RARR RARR'S IN THERE." SOMEONE ASKED WHY HE CALLED ME  THAT,HE SAID CAUSE NOW IM OLDER AND IM A BIG DAWG SO POOCH DAWG IT STOOD. OUR TRIPS TO THE DOCTORS WERE ALWAYS INTERESTING AND MAJORITY OF OUR CONVERSATIONS WERE ABOUT FOOD.  UNCLE OSO YOUR GONE AND ITS SO SO SO HARD I SIT HERE STARRING OUT THE DOOR WAITING FOR YOU TO PULL UP FROM DYALISIS OR JUST CHILL IN THE YARD PLAYING ON THE COMPUTER. ALWAYS STAY NEAR ME AND FOREVER IN MY HEART CAUSE WITHOUT YOU LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME OR WORTHY-I LOVE YOU TODAY,TOMARROW AND ALWAYS!! YOUR A WONDERFUL MAN AND I THANK THE LORD FOR BLESSING ME WITH YOU IN MY LIFE!                -LOVING YOU ALWAYS

Arizona Trip

March 21, 2011

One year I took my Uncle Oso and Grandpappy to Arizona to look at some property. It was during the Arizona winter but being from California, we dint know.

We drove my Plymouth Breeze on graded roads with ruts but still made it out to the acreage. We got off and looked around. You can see for miles up there. In the distance in one direction there was an awesome storm cloud and rain was falling. It resembled El Arbol from loteria.

In the opposite direction the sky was steel gray! We had already walked a good distance away from the car where Grandpappy was chillin nice and warm. We looked at each other and without a word began walking back to the car. Pretty quickly too! I think that was the fasted I could ever remember my Uncle walking!

Just as we got to the car the snow flurries began to fall! Holy smokes! I thought it was going to get pretty dangerous if we got stuck in the middle of nowhere. Especially since Uncle Oso and Grandpappy were both diabetics and with my bad back there was no way I was going to be carrying either of them out.

I told Uncle Oso and Grandpappy what I was thinking and Uncle Oso said if we get stuck that I should go find help and bring back some donuts hee hee (You know how he gives that short laugh)!

In the middle of danger he still thought about donuts! I love this guy.

A Letter to My Father

March 21, 2011

 My Big,

I won’t say good bye today, because I know this is not the end of us. He only took you from me because he knows all the pain and suffering you went through. I smile so big because I know you will be walking hand in hand with God. We will go our separate ways and meet again in the end. I will always feel your bear hugs and mustache kisses on my cheek. You were always there to listen although Id get no response I knew you were listening because you would ask questions when the time would come. I knew you were proud of me when I walked down that field in front of hundreds when you spotted my smile. I was trying so hard to make you proud I knew what I had to do, so I went back to school. I was hoping you see your baby girl walk down in front of that crowd just one more time.  I am very grateful and proud to call you my dad; thank you god for allowing me one more hug before time had run out. I heard the voice of my mother and I felt my heart drop so I got up and ran to hear my prayer had failed. I don’t blame our lord because I know he only takes the best. I know it’s you when I feel the wind blow and I hear you cry when the rain falls. I know I’ll see you every day when I look in the mirror, and when I close my eyes to breath deep I will feel your heart beat. I thank you today for always caring for me, loving me and understanding me you are a great gift God gave to me. You are my guardian angel now, and all I ask is for you to watch over the family moms, taters, lolo, gee me and your grandbabies. I love you BIG

Love your baby

Berna
