William Quincey Yancey, 87, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, June 6th 2012 .
He was the widower of Rita Elliott Yancey and the son of the late Johnnie Thomas and Isabel Grace Yancey. He was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 9th 2012 at Grassy Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Woodrow Freeze III. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Wanda Yancey Duncan of Clarksville, Margaret Yancey Hart of Grassy Creek, two grandsons and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Yancey Adcock.
Visitation 7:00-8:30 PM Friday, June 8th 2012 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home of his daughter.
Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting the Yancey family.
