" No Pain, No Gain"
My mother was on loan to me for 30 years, her raising me was a blessing. I remember her playing Betty Wright's No Pain, No Gain. When I was younger I had no clue why she loved that song so much (since it drove my dad nuts); however now that I am older and wiser, I know what that song meant to her. My mother struggled but through all her pain and hardship, she gained knowledge. This knowledge was bestowed upon me at a very young age. Lucky for me, the blinders where removed early enough to recognize what Mom was trying to tell me. Her message was clear, work hard & you will be rewarded;remember noone is better than you, but you are not better than anyone else; don't be a doormat;forgive, but don't forget; & most importantly love yourself so that you can love others unconditionally. I'm the woman that I am today because of her teachings & unconditional love. It was through her pain that we gained wisdom & love. "No pain, No gain"
She Gave Herself Away!!!!!!
My mother was a warrior for all the little people (children). Every child that had the pleasures of her discipline and unbridled tongue became stronger even if it was not recognized by them, it was recognized by others.
Today I can truly say that God blessed me by allowing me to be part of her life. Not only as my mother; but my best friend and life coach. Mommy would always say Ronja you have always brought all the injured home with you since you were a little girl. When are you gonna listen to me and realize you can’t nurture and fix everything and everyone. It took me forty-three (43) years to understand this parable that she spoke to me. She said Ronja the Love has to come from inside you, once you learn to love yourself, all the anger you have bottled up over the years will transform and flow out as Love to others.
I dedicate this song and scripture to my Mother, Best Friend and Life Coach……I GIVE MYSELF AWAY SO YOU CAN USE ME!!!!!!!
This is how my mommy lived, so willing to sacrifice and give her last. So many lives have been touched and transformed because you chose to GIVE YOUR LIFE AWAY.
But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror. For he observes himself, goes away and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. (James 1:22-24)

Just My Drugs
My wife never passed up an opportunity to make someone Laugh.
We were at our grandsons wedding. she was sitting at a table I asked her "Hey what do you have in that bag? She reached in her purse pulled out a hyperdermic needle and said "these are my drugs" when she saw the shocked looks of those who were near she explained with laughter " I am a diabetic". Her sense of humor was enormous.

D & S Forever
When Deanie and I first realized that we were attracted to one another I ran from her like a scared puppy. She pursued me relentlessly. when I could no longer resist her I told her that if you get me it's forever. So she wrote on both of our arms D & S forever. That became our symbol. When I later was stationed in Korea I had matching Jackets Made with our symbol on it. And every letter we sent to one another was marked with the same symbol.
Deanie & Sean Forever.
