Mr. Willie Pete Fears, Jr., was born September 18, 1946 to the parentage of the late Mr. Willie Pete (Sr.) and Mrs. Eddie Ruth Fears in Troup County, GA. On Friday, August 26, 2016 at West Georgia Hospice, LaGrange, GA, God called upon his angels to usher Willie Pete from life on earth into life everlasting.

Willie Pete accepted Christ as his personal savior and united with the New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. L. Z. Johnson. In later years he united with the St. John Community Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Eric Dowdell.

“Little Man”, as he was known to many received his education in the West Point School System. He was employed with West Point Stevens and later with Bill Fears Nursery.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Fears; two sisters, Theresa Cook, Beverly Jackson and a niece, Carol Walker.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Valeria Heard (Jarrell), LaGrange, GA; Cynthia (John) Gilder, Valley, AL and Adriann (Dennis) Bell, Brentwood, CA; one son, Lamar (Anita) Murphy, West Point, GA; ten grandchildren, Denatay (Trudi) Heard, Joquona (Bobby)Hall, Doresa Gilder, Antonio and, Aneisa Floyd, Jazmine and Jaden Bell, Junia, Ronicka and Jamanski (Yalonda) Flournoy; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Eddie Mae (George) Williams, Elizabeth Walker, West Point, GA; one brothers, Richard Fears, Valley, AL; two aunts, two uncles; a special nephew, James Fears, LaGrange, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; a special friend, David Williams.
