His Life

Mr. Willie Lewis Felix, the son of Otis Houston, Sr. and Ethel Mae Houston, was born September 1, 1942 in Lee County, Alabama. On Thursday, February 8, 2018, God sent his angels to bring his son home.

Willie accepted Christ and joined the Jehovah Baptist Church, Whiteville, GA, under the leadership of Rev. Michael Slaughter, Sr. He was a faithful member until his passing.

Willie was self-employed as a concrete finisher all his life up until retirement.

“Felix” as he were known by, still enjoyed his life hanging out with his family and friends. He was well known for laughing, talking, and janking people. Everyone knew how much he loved his Toot, kids, and grandkids. Felix will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by a son, Courtland Harper, Sr., his parents, Otis Houston, Sr.; mother, Ethel Mae Houston; brother, Otis Houston, Jr.; sister, Gladys Felix.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his common law wife of 40 years, Lavonne Wilson, West Point, GA; four daughters, Shavonna McFarlin, West Point, GA, Sherry (Raymond) Harrison, Atlanta GA, Kimberly Alexander, Lanett, AL, and Angela (Calvin) Johnson, LaGrange, GA; one son, Michael (Nikita) Felix, West Point, GA; two kids he reared as his own, Zibreka Brooks, Shelton Wilson, West Point, GA; a special son-in-law, Adrian McFarlin, West Point, GA; two sisters, Evelyn Houston and Juanita Cox, West Point, GA; fourteen grandchildren, Adriontae McFarlin, Khisten Brooks, Makyle Felix, Gakhya Felix, West Point, GA, Marquetta Linder, Marcus Linder, Myron Dixon, Deshaun Johnson, Calvin Johnson Jr, Demarco Johnson, Rico Johnson, LaGrange GA, Madison Bledsoe, Courtland Harper, Jr. , Lanett, AL and Braylon McGruder, Manchester, GA; a array of great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy(Torrie) Trice, West Point, GA, Sandra(Timothy)Carrekers, Louisville, KY; three brothers-in-law, Willie(Diane) Wilson, Jr., William(Patricia) Wilson, and Jimmy(Rhonda)Wilson, West Point, GA and a host of other relatives and friends; five special friends, Eddie Lee Johnson, Eddie B Johnson, Evander McBride, Horace Houston, and Roosevelt Hannah.
