Today is the 82nd year since Daddy was born. Willie Lash is truly missed yet his memory and legacy live on in so many. May God continue to bless all who knew and loved this wonderful man.

Willie, my beloved husband, you meant everything in the entire world to me and I will always miss you. The memories always linger on-- especially when you always kept GAS in the cars. I had never pump gas and I was very scared. Although, I am moving forward it is very hard. I smile because I know you loved me until the day you went to a better place. I am so grateful to you for loving me unconditionally and sincerely. God has you in his KEEPING. I have you in my HEART.

My Uncle was the greatest. I can always count on great meals. I spent 6 weeks with him and my Auntie after I retired from the Air Force and I went to Maryland to finish my Bachelor's Degree. Everyday we had a hot breakfast from Dunking Donuts, McDonald's or if Murl was home, we get Starbucks. For lunch, it was KFC and if we were celebrating - it was CHINESE LOL. So dinner time it was whatever we wanted. if Murl wasn't cooking. I had to be in the house by 11 and they actually locked me in and didn't give me the code LOL we watched ALL the old movies (after he made sure my homework was done LOL) while he napped on the corner of the sofa. I LOVE YOU UNK and I miss you so much. I don't get my birthday, mother day. Memorial day songs. But the memories are FOREVER!!!

Three years ago was the last time I had the opportunity to say "Happy Birthday" to dad. I miss him so much!

I so miss dad! It is hard to believe one year today he breathed his last breath on this earth. God bless and keep us all as we remember this day.

Iris, I know your father was a great and honorable man because I know you! May his life continue to shine through you and your family. Wishing you all God's grace and peace.
