His Life

A Time To Be Born Willie James, affectionately known by his family and friends as "Sport" was born to the late Willie and Novella Amey-Walker on June 9, 1951 in Newnan, Georgia.  He was the only boy of four siblings.  Sport lived a good life and expressed love to his children and family.  

A Time To Live Sport joined White Oak Grove Baptist Church early in life.  He attended Coweta County System and went on to join the work force.  He worked thirty-three years for the City of Clayton County, where he retired.  

A Time To Be Called Home Sport departed this life on Wednesday, July 16, 2014.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, great-grandparents, his wife Sylvia Davis-Walker, Sister Eva Nell, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.  

He is survived by his son, Anthony Walker; four grandchildren, Napoleon Snelling, Anthony Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Alex's Arnold; two sisters, Inellie Tolbert and Mattie Kendall of Newnan, GA; Uncle, L. D. Amey; God Daughters; God Grandchildren; cousins and friends
