His Life

Willie was born on September 18, 1928 in Knoxville, TN to the late Elijah and Mahailey Kimbrough. He was a retired custodian foreman at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, a traffic control officer and a school crossing guard for the Highland Falls Police Department. Willie also was a member of the Hebron Lodge #48 Free and Accepted Masons of Beacon, NY, a member of the American Legion Post #0633 of Highland Falls and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Mid-Hudson Chapter #188 New City, NY. Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his loving family: wife, Clara Edna Kelly McClendon Kimbrough of Highland Falls and two children, daughter, Karen Ann Kimbrough of Albany, NY and son, John Douglas McClendon of Chicago, IL; five children with Evelyn Benjamin: sons, Willie F. (Rosabel) Kimbrough, Jr. of New Windsor, NY and Dion Kimbrough of Newburgh; three daughters: Bernadean (Colin) Rainford of Spring Valley, NY, Deborah Ann Kimbrough and Ruth Ann Eldridge both of Newburgh. Also surviving, his step-mother, Odessa Kimbrough of Knoxville, TN and siblings: sister, Burnadeen Kimbrough Tate of Knoxville, TN and brother, Eric Kimbrough of Germany; 21 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
