Mr. Willie Lee Harris, Sr. was born February 12, 1943 in Meriwether County to the late Mr. Aurthur Lewis Harris, Sr. and the late Mrs. Arlillian Mitchell Harris.  He grew up in Meriwether County and attended Meriwether Public School System.  

  At an early age, he joined the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.  He remained a faithful member.  

  He was employed by Delta Airline for twenty-six years.  He retired from Delta Airline April 1, 1995.  

  He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mrs. Louise Ferrell Harris.  They were blessed to have six children, two preceded them to glory:  Ozela and Tyrone Harris.  

  On Saturday, May 10, 2014, he left this earthly life and went home to live with our Heavenly Father forever.  His departure has saddened the hearts of those who knew and loved him.  He will be greatly missed.

  He leaves to cherish his memory, four children: Mr. Willie Lewis (Mattie) Harris of Gay, GA, Mr. Rickey Harris of Riverdale, GA, Mrs. Connie (Joseph) Terry, Mrs. Antoinette (Edrick Sr.) Neal, all of Gay GA; two children he reared as his own, Tiannia Parks, Talasha Parks; eight grandchildren, Antron, Antwaan, Antravis (Courtney) Terry, Reco, Khadijah, Marcus, Jelisa and Edrick Jr.; seven great grandchildren, Antravious, Jamarri, Amarian, Cameron, Jayden, Destiny and Jaelyn; one sister, Mrs. Christine Adams of Newnan, GA; one brother, Mr. Authur Harris of Gay, GA; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Sinkfield of Gay, GA; two brothers-in-law, Mr. Frank (Josephine) Ferrell of Fairburn, GA, Mr. Charlie Willie Ferrell of Senoia, GA; one uncle, Mr. Charlie Lee Render of Gay, GA; devoted in-law, Mrs. Mary Tucker Ferrell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins who all love him dearly; devoted friends, Andrew Reeves, Fredrick Woodall, Evrin McGruder; devoted and close cousin, Shirome Render, Brenda Wimbush.
