In 1973 I was honored to become a sister-in-law to Willie Mae, also called Cookie by others. She was only 23 years old then and I was 25 with similar concerns and curiosities of life. She was a beautiful young woman with an exciting personality.  She was funny causing laughter and amusement for others. She like going to any type of social events or gathering such as parties and other significant occurrences. Anytime she went out she dressed very appropriate and was attractive. I like her uniqueness; She had an outfit for every occassion; but most importantly, she always wore her wonderful smiles every where she went. She had so many clothes.  I recalled of asking her: “Sis, why don’t you just put one of these outfits in the cleaner and wear it. I think you would look gorgeous in it." Again she would just smile and slightly shook her head. She would never wore an out fit twice. I cherished these memories we had together.
Love,

ThuVan
We grew up and went our separate ways. We seldom communicated- but every time her name was mentioned in the conversations; her smiling, glowing face would shine in a special corner of my mind and heart where I kept our memories.
Thank God he allowed me to be a part of your family. You walked with me at that appointed time. I thank you for that privilege my sister Willie Mae!.
I am confident that you are back home with our father, who is also our creator.
We should rejoice and celebrate your home coming sis; even though it’s hard but we are convinced that God ‘s love sees us through.

Ja'Myron & Granny Cook

April 7, 2011

I can say that my son really loved his grandma. I can remember the times when they use to play out side, she always took him to baseball games, coach him in football, all ways told him he will be the best in whatever he does. I was so shocked to hear about this on the internet, and i didnt know how to tell him. He just shared some tears and was asking me why mom? why didnt i know, and i just told him son i dont know. So many things i want to say but is left better unsaid, but we will really miss you mrs cook, you always gave me encouraging words, and told me how beautiful i was. We will miss you mama cook....Keep smiling down on Ja'Myron. We love you!!!!!...R.I.P

GOD GAVE ME AN ANGLE ON THE DAY THAT I WAS BORN. HE SENT HER AS A HELPER TO HELP MY MOM . ALTHOUGH THEY SOMETIMES ARGUED ABOUT THINGS LIKE SISTERS DO SHE ALWAYS KEPT ON LOVING AND MAKING ME FEEL SPECIAL TOO. MY AUNT COOKIE WAS THE ANGLE THAT GOD SENT TO WATCH OUT FOR ME SHE NAMED ME AND LOVED ME AND SMILED AT ME AND I WOULD KNOW THAT SHE LOVED ME. OH HOW I MISS HER SMILE AND LOOKING INTO HER EYES BECAUSE I WOULD ALWAYS TEASE HER SAYING THAT MY EYES WERE JUST LIKE HERS. I MISS YOU MY ANGLE BUT I WILL KEEP LIVING AND DOING THE THINGS THAT MADE YOU SMILE. BECAUSE I KNOW THAT YOU ARE GOING TO HOLD A SPOT FOR ME SO THAT WHEN GOD CALLS ME HOME I WILL BE WITH YOU AGAIN I KNOW THAT MY EARTHLY WORK IS NOT DONE SO KEEP YOUR BEAUTIFUL EYES OPEN WHEN MY WORK HERE IS FINISHED ILL SEE YOU AGAIN .. GONE FROM MY SIGHT BUT NEVER FROM MY HEART!!!!!!!!
