Reflections of the Life of Our Beloved Minister Willie Mae Cook


Minister Willie Mae Cook was born on September 15, 1950 to the late Abraham and Mabel Cook. Minister Cook was married to the late Ellis Jackson and to this union was born a son, Myron Ellis Cook-Jackson  She graduated from Parker High School in 1968.  She also attended Lawson State Community College where she earned a degree in nursing.  Professionally, Minister Cook served in the United States Army, worked in various health care facilities as a nurse and later became a police officer in Roosevelt City, Alabama.  She confessed Christ at an early age at Friendly Baptist Church Smithfield, Birmingham Alabama under the late Pastor Willie Toodle.  She later joined Faith Temple Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Ruby E. Kile.  She was licensed as a Minister under the leadership of Pastor Watson.  Minister Cook made her transition from earth to glory on Tuesday, February 1, 2011.  She was proceeded in death by both parents.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her only son whom she cherished, Myron E. Cook and daughter-in-law Katrina both of Birmingham, Al; grandson, Jamyron Cook whom she truly loved; a loving and devoted sister Gwendolyn Cook-Bibb; Four Brothers, William Pearson, Comma Pearson, Morris Pearson and Abraham Cook...And a host of nieces and nephews..
