His Life

The son of the late George, Sr. and Gertrude Ward Milford, Mr. Milford was born in Abbeville County, SC and was a graduate of Carver High School in Dew West, SC. He was a U. S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. He retired with 30 years of dedicated service. He was also a Realtor and Food Service Contractor with the U. S. Government. He obtained an Associate degree from CVCC.

A member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, he was a former Chairman of the Deacon Board and a member of the Brotherhood Ministry.

He was preceded in death by two siblings, George Milford, Jr. and Clara Shoemaker. Survivors include: his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Mary Morton Milford; three sons, Willie L. Milford, Jr. (Javeta), Reverend Gregory A. Milford (Debra) and Michael R. Milford; three grandchildren, Brandi Williams, Michael Milford and Jovan Milford; six great grandchildren, Jaspeon, DaMario, Davion, Yasmine, Anthony and Nia; a brother, Carnell Milford (Lillian); five sisters, Rosa Craig, Sylvia Henderson, Mary Lane, Viola McMorris, and Helen Gillepsie; beloved in-laws, Gloria Grant, Geneva Gillis, Porter Morton and John Morton; other relatives and friends.
