Willie Ruth Day, was born December14, 1949.  She had an older sister (Evelyn Day).  Willie graduated in 1968, from Wakefield highschool and married Lelon Flakes in August of that same year.  In their union they had three girls, Yvannia, (1971), and twins Lianne and Kesha (1974).  In 1977 Lelon and Willie divorced.  On January 22, 1990 she welcomed her first grandchild, Jimako affectionately known as Shaka, on February 21, 1993 she welcomed Shaniqua on December 15, 1997 she welcomed Michaia, and on July 19, 2002 she welcomed Jacqui.  Later after her passing another grand came along on October 23, 2011 from Kesha, named keshawna.  Willie worked with Verizon telephone for 33 years from which she retired November 2003.  She was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Arlington.  Mommy will forever be in our heart's forever.
