Willie Ruth Taylor Ford passed away on May 23, 2018.She was born on May 13, 1921 in Roanoke, Alabama and moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1943.Willie retired in 1986 as a Dietary Supervisor from St. Elizabeth Hospital after 30 years of service.As a dedicated member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Missionary Circle, First Aid Ministry and sang in the choir.Willie was known for being an excellent cook and for her sense of humor.She was preceded in death by her husband Mack Ford, daughters Drucilla Moore and Christine Kirksay, parents Rufus and Essie Glenn Taylor and siblings Charlie, Emma, Grady, Gerilla, Arlevia, Irene, Blanche, Clifford, Veola, Gladys, Jimmie, Edward, and William. She is survived by her brother John (Mabel) Taylor, sons Eddie (Wendy) Ford and Lawrence Ford; grandchildren: Ronda Moore, Robert Moore, Tony Ford, Ta’Chelle Ford Budhoo, Terry Kirksay, Todd Kirksay, Christopher Kirksay, Lindsay (Adam) Ford Ellis, Tyler (Jackie) Ford, Londea (JC) Ndongo and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Willie was very devoted to her family.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Funeral Service 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Mt. Calvary Church, 3375 W Siebenthaler Ave, Dayton, OH 45406. Interment West Memory Gardens, Arrangements entrusted to W.E. Lusain Funeral Service.
