Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 9, 2022 at W.E. Lusain Funeral Home and Crematory (2060 Germantown Street/Dayton, OH). Visitation at 1:00pm and service to follow at 2:00pm. 

Willette was born and raised in Dayton, OH on April 28,1966 to Willie George and Marylena (Pettigrew) Boyd . She lived life working hard and raising her children. She had 12 children, 21 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Willette attended Belmont High School and Sinclair Community College. She worked various jobs as a Production worker throughout her life.

She is preceded in Death by her father, Willie Geroge Boyd, her mother Marylena Boyd, Daughter Latoya Boyd, daughter Melinda Boyd, sister Denise Pettigrew, and  sister Willisa Boyd, brothers Arthur and Shawn Boyd and Dwight Corbitt,  one niece Linita Pettigrew and one nephew Rodney Higgins Jr.

She is survived in death by her long time partner Charles Richardson, Daughters, Monica Boyd, LaDonna Boyd, Sadae Patterson, Valencia Henderson, Deanne Boyd and Jurnee Richardson. Her Sons, Vincent and Demetrius Boyd. Sisters  Donna Brewster, Willa, Willetta, Willena, Bathsheba Boyd and two brothers Dwayne Bickham and Naashon Corbitt. As well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Willette loved her all of her siblings and neicies and nephews, she loved her  Church’s Chicken, Doublemint gum, peanut M & Ms and her Sudoku puzzles.

She loved and adored all of her grandchildren, each of them were  special to her in their own way. Each and every one of them all had a special place in her heart and she would want them to know that even though she is gone she will forever be in their hearts as they were in hers until the end. So keep your heads up and push forward Granny is forever with you.

She will forever be in our hearts as Momma, Granny, and Honkey.
