His Life

Mr. Willis Wilson, Jr. was born to the late Mozelle Sturkie and Willis Adair on June 1, 1937 in Goodwater, Alabama.

He confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Home Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Robert Welch was his pastor.

Willis Wilson was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Annie Pearl Wilson and to this union eight children were born.

Two sons. Willis Jeffery and Nathan Jr. preceded him in death. He departed this life on Tuesday, April 11, 2012 at Coosa Valley Medical center in Sylacauga, Alabama.

He leaves to cherish his memories , stepdad, Dymond Sturkie. Ten children: Annie D.  Wilson, Sharon (Steve) Wilson, Larry  Wilson, Marian  Wilson, Latonya Kelly, all of Goodwater,  AL;  Beverly  Wilson  of Stone Mountain, GA. Margie Sturkie of Milwaukee, WI; Beverly (Alonzo)Lindsey of Lineville, AL; LaKendrick and Samyia Tuck of Biloxi, MS. One brother, John Wilson of Milwaukee, WI. One sister, Mrs. Dorothy Chapman of Danville, IL. A loving wife, Mrs. Rosie R. Wilson. Six step children: Sammie, Tonja, Alicia, Henry, Tamatha, Larry Williams, all of Goodwater, AL. one sister-in-law, Mary Stegall and one brother-in-law, Frankie James, both of Atlanta, GA. A host of grand kids, great grands, nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. He had very special friends: Mr. & Mrs. Franklin Thompson, Mr.  & Mrs. Author Strong of Goodwater, AL; Mrs. Shirley Jefferies of Spartanburg, SC; Pearl Kelly of Childersburg, AL; Mr. & Mrs. Nolan Coleman of Goodwater, AL. A special thanks of kindness to Mrs. Moneika Odem,  Mrs. Erica Gaddis, Alacare, Med. South, Trinity Hospital, Coosa Valley Hospital.
