I recall Wilma's active participation in church services at the Mount Tabor United Holy church of America, Cherry Grove, St. John. She visibly enjoyed worship activities as she beat her tambourine rhythmically.
What stands out most in my mind about Wilma was her amazing skill in reciting poems at special church programmes such as harvest thanksgiving services. While I do not recall all the words of a particular poem she recited, I do remember that it dealt with delinquent youth,  In the poem, Wilma gave a list of negative acts committed by young people. The poet laid the blame squarely at the feet of parents. The poem ended in a crescendo with these two lines:

O parents, pause and listen to me,
For you are to blame for delinquency

Wilma's Family Holiday

September 25, 2016

The summer of 2013 my granny, my son and I visited Peter in Florida for our holiday at this time grandma was fun swing into her retirement phase  and just enjoying herself to the fullest. This year God allowed her to return for the Christmas season with her daughter Heather and her family. This was one of the best year yet for her as this was the first time her bond for Lucky grew and they were buddies till her death as she would talk about interactions between them.

This picture depicts Ma leaving Florida and heading back to Bim (Barbados).
