Winfield. I know you are waiting to hear from us today. We still honor you and the many memories you left with us of your time on earth. I know you are watching from Heaven, or singing, or laughing. Aunt Maud is with you now. Keep her safe in your arms. You are a miss in our lives here on Earth. Playing some of your music now as I quietly cry because God called your name too soon. Much love, Aunt Jeanie 5/27/2021

Because we have a deep and abiding faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, we know that we will see "Field" again one day. For the loving memory of my brother Winfield, words are far away from my family and I. Its too hard to believe that he is gone. His life was so enormous, that the only thing we do is concentrate on our memories and today, remember the day of his birth, followed by a life loaned for a short time. Our tears and our prayer, follow disbelief. We pray for that great getting up morning. Until then, with a wounded heart, no-one to tell my secrets too anymore. I will always love my brother "Field".

Winfield it's been six months since your passing. In some ways it seems as though it hasn't been that long, yet in other ways, it seems like an eternity. I miss the phone conversations which covered many, many, different topics. I will also miss eating with you, particularly takeout, you had this way of making it like art, from picking it up, to diving in, and wiping it out, it was always a pleasure! Music, Wow what a passion for music. Winfield, you had without a doubt for passion and love for music, than I have ever seen anyone love anything in my life. Winfield you had incredible talent!!
See you again someday my Brother, Love You!

I remember Winfield fondly from Ord Road School (Paget Primary), Bermuda. More specifically I remember how he taught me to catch lizards with a long blade of grass and THEN chase our friends with the lizard. Oh such fond memories of an early childhood. He was purpose driven and full of life. Smiles and a feeling of peace should fill you as you remember Winfield. God Bless You Brenda

Gone too soon! I still cannot believe that Winfield has left us. He came to live with me in Ohio as a teenager along with his good friend, my nephew Anthony Ball. So, "Field" became my nephew too! I will miss his visits and hugs. What a wonderful example he was to young people. He never gave up his dream of conquering music and many other pursuits. I loved him. Aunt Jeanie

Fondly, I would call him "Dubya" which he laughed at. Of all the folks I have met since coming to Florida, I can easily say that he is the one person I REALLY connected with both musically and personally. He was the greatest guy: truly enlightened and wise beyond his years. I feel blessed to have known him. I will always miss him.

Sound, music is the foundational essence of life. Winfield returned to his primordial essence but while he lived among us he personified it and brought it to life so that we through his music could touch into our own native essences. Play on! You and I touched briefly a few times in the halls of music. May your soul soar in sync with the universal primordial sounds. Jamila Dixon

Uncle Winfield was always smiling. I loved talking about music with him, and whenever we would talk about music he was always smiling, but serious. He was a very insightful and wise man. I will always miss him and he'll always hold a special place in my heart.

I have many great memories of Winfield, he is greatly missed. The best thing I remember about Winfield were his great hugs, they made you feel so loved because you were getting this giant bear hug. Winfield also had a great laugh and smile, so cute! He was a wonderful human being and a class act. I am so glad I had the honor to know him.

I remember the first time that we met Winfield at the restaurant and he asked if he could possibly play with the band we had that day,  The St. Croix Blues Society accepted the invitation and we all fell in love with him that day!  His music was phenominal just as his personality was.  He and Brenda came back several times over the years that we owned the place.  He will never be forgotten in our hearts and memories.

Winfield was my grandfather. He was the greatest man I’ve ever known. Even though we lived miles away from each other, we would always keep in contact. He would call me and we would talk for hours on the phone about my future plans and he would always tell me stories about my father and my uncles. I was living in Ohio and he came up here to me and my brother. He took us out to eat to TGIF Fridays, got us ice cream, walked us on the beach, and took us to see the movie Transformers. I’ve never really got to see him because he lives in Florida at the time but to hear his voice every other day was such a blessing. I’m so blessed to experience a great grandfather like him. He was a such a smooth and funny man ♥️. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of him and wish he was here every single day. We will forever love and miss him so much.
