Winifred Olubunmi Babs-Babata was born on the 25th of June 1963 to Anselm and Victoria Atiomo. She was born in Edo State where she lived her early life and carried out her early education. On the 11th of November 1984, she got married to Late Hameed Babs-Babata and together they had six children.

As was evident to all those around her, she lived a life in service to God and she served in different capacities in the church. On the 25th of June 2008, she was ordained an evangelist.

Tapping into her experience as a widow, she set up the Pearls Women’s Network to help widows cope with the difficulties of widowhood as well as help them find solace in God. The goal was to provide widows with spiritual, mental and physical support especially in their most vulnerable times; from the moment where they become widows, to living the harsh financial and emotional realities, she had a passion to ease the difficulty of widowhood however she could.

Winifred joined the Missions Department of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Dominion Sanctuary, Acme (Region 19 Headquarters) in 2012. She participated actively in the nurturing of the Abule Owu and Feru Ota Mission field churches through regular visitations, medical missions and outreaches. As a result of her commitment and dedication to service, she was appointed the Assistant Head of Department in 2014. A position she held until her passing.

She was also a house fellowship leader, giving her the opportunity to provide leadership and guidance to small group of people on a weekly basis.

She also briefly served as the proprietress of Ave Maria Montessori Nursery and Primary School, Opebi.

Her beautiful life and wonderful memories will forever be cherished by her children: Banke Sanyaolu, Gbenga Babs-Babata, Folarin Babs-Babata, Tosin Babs-Babata and Foluke Babs-Babata; her son in-law, Seyi Sanyaolu, her granddaughter, Ninioluwa Sanyaolu and her Family.
