He was one of the greatest people in my life. He be came my rock after my dad pasted away. We would talk every day on the phone. I miss him so much. I think about him all the time.

My Daddy was the smartest man I knew. He knew how to fix everything. I could call and ask him how to do something and he always knew the answer. He worked hard all of his life. He worked for The Railroad 38 1/2 years. Every time i see or hear a train I think of him. I miss him so much!

His Life

At 17 Daddy joined The US Navy.  He was a proud Vietnam veteran.  He went to so many places. Hong Kong, The Philippines,Vietnam, San Francisco,Florida …. And many more.
He hired out on The GM&O railroad in 1968. Over the years he worked for GM&O,ICG,IC,and lastly CN.  He was proud of it and was good at it. He retired after 38 1/2 years to live in a lake and be at peace every day.  He loved living in Lake Larto,La.   He loved the lake and the people and being part of that community.
In 2002, Daddy became a grandfather. He was thrilled. Jo Jo was  the apple of his eye.  He adored JoJo.  He spoiled JoJo rotten too.
In 2015 I was deathly sick and in a coma.  Daddy came and stayed at the hospital with me for weeks and weeks.  He stayed by my side and took care of me and made decisions for my care. I’ll always be grateful for that time we had together.
