Woodrow Wynn Thomasson, Jr., 81, passed away July 29, 2017 at home after a long illness.

Woodrow was born in Granville County to Woodrow Thomasson, Sr. and Alberta Renn Thomasson. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Joanne Thomasson, of the home; daughters, Kristen Thomasson and Jennifer Thomasson; sister, Judy Pittard and family, and sister-in-law, Becky Cheatham and family.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Transitions Life Care, 250 Hospice Lane, Raleigh, N.C.

I was sorry to hear of Woody's passing. I worked with him in the early 1980's. He was a great guy - always optimistic and always friendly to everyone. My condolences to the family. RIP, Woody

I first met Woody at Allen Com. Services. It was a friendship that lasted for many years until I moved out of the Raleigh area. He was a true friend and I always enjoyed his good humor every time I would stop by his office for a chat. One of a kind, they don't make anymore. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. His good memory will never die in my mind.
